Fatigue fear as Benitez frustrated by Benfica bullies

FRUSTRATED Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez hopes none of his players were injured in the battering handed out by Benfica.

His major concern before the Europa League quarter-final first leg in Lisbon was that striker Fernando Torres would get himself booked – and therefore be suspended for the second leg – if he allowed his frustration to get the better of him.

The Spain international kept his part of the bargain but it was more down to luck he was not forced off before he was substituted eight minutes from time.
