EVERTON boss David Moyes claims his team are still nothing more than rank outsiders in the race for European places.

The Merseysiders continued their late charge with a stunning 2-0 defeat of Champions League-chasing Manchester City at Eastlands on Wednesday night.

With seven games of their campaign remaining, eighth-placed Everton are now just three points behind Liverpool and Aston Villa in sixth and seventh in the Barclays Premier League.
