Dowie looks set for Hull job

IAIN DOWIE is expected to be named as the next manager of Barclays Premier League strugglers Hull.

The former Crystal Palace, Charlton and QPR boss is now odds-on to replace the sacked Phil Brown and could be appointed today.

Reports also claimed Hull have been in contact with Portsmouth boss Avram Grant.
