I didn’t see Henry handball, says Gallas

WILLIAM Gallas, has broken his silence on the goal which knocked Ireland out the World Cup.

I didn’t see Henry handball, says Gallas

He claimed that he had no idea Henry had handled the ball in the run-up to his strike which secured France’s place in South Africa.

“At the time, I didn’t see that he had handled it. You couldn’t see it from where I was. I just put it in and ran off to celebrate like I would normally,” he said on French TV’s Canal Football Club.

“It’s not at all frustrating for me that the goal is called Henry’s handball goal even though he didn’t score it because it’s not a question of William Gallas scoring or whatever. It was all about France getting to the World Cup and that was the important thing.”
