Wenger says City perfect for Vieira

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger feels Patrick Vieira and Manchester City will prove the “perfect marriage” for the former Gunners captain.

Vieira, 33, was Wenger’s long-time midfield enforcer and had been linked with a move back to his old club after becoming surplus to requirements at Inter Milan.

However, yesterday Vieira signed a six-month deal at Eastlands with an option for a further year to link up again with new City boss Roberto Mancini, whom he worked with during their time in Italy.
