THIERRY HENRY has given an insight into how he copes with life away from football.

Calm Henry insists ‘what’s done is done’

The France striker, whose controversial ‘handball goal’ cost the Republic of Ireland a place at the World Cup finals, said that the experience of living in four different countries has helped him develop a calmer approach to life, while his attitude to post-game analysis is simply, “What’s done is done”.

Henry went on to reveal that the pressure he has found himself under, particularly following the furore after the Ireland game, sometimes makes him want “to explode”, but the defence mechanisms he has taught himself keep him in check.
