Miller savours double as Rangers leapfrog Bhoys
DaMarcus Beasley put Rangers in front in the first half at Dundee United, and Miller added a second-half double to make it a comfortable 3-0 victory, lifting Rangers above Celtic in the table. Miller said: “It was important to win tonight and go back top of the league. It was a good performance and a good result for us.
“We knew it was going to be a tough game, it always is when you come up here.
“Even at 1-0 up at half-time, we’ve been here before and they’ve come back well into games. We knew what to expect in the second half and knew the next goal was vital.”
Rangers manager Walter Smith said of the result: “It was obviously very pleasing. I was delighted to get the win.
“It’s a difficult place to come and get a win. It’s been difficult for us over the last few seasons and tonight I felt we played extremely well and certainly deserved to win.”
