Antic: French fans’ fury can bring luck of the Irish

GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI’S Republic of Ireland can qualify for the World Cup tonight by taking advantage of the fact that France are hated by their own fans, according to Serbia manager Radi Antic.

The former Luton midfielder, who has also coached both Real Madrid and Barcelona, guided Serbia to top spot in Qualification Group 7, forcing Raymond Domenech’s France into the play-offs.

Serbia lost 2-1 in Paris before drawing 1-1 with the French in Belgrade, but Antic is convinced France are not to be feared on home soil.
