Murphy out to make good first impression

LIKE anyone starting a new job, Brian Murphy turned up for training with Giovanni Trapattoni’s Ireland squad for the first time on Monday hoping to keep his head down and get through the day without mishap.

When the players gathered in north Dublin earlier in the week, the Bohemians goalkeeper unpacked his bags in the room he is sharing with Scunthorpe’s Joe Murphy and just one thought occupied his mind – don’t drop the ball.
