More bad news for FAI as Kildare County fold

After seven years in the League ofIreland, Kildare County FC folded after Saturday night’s 5-1 home defeat to Shelbourne.

Following the resignation of club secretary Pat McNally earlier in the week, manager Joe Somerville resigned on Friday as unrest among the players grew due to owed wages.

Indeed, the players only fulfilled Saturday’s fixture after some commitment was given in regard to monies owed to them.
