MONTENEGRO defender Milan Jovanovic believes the Republic of Ireland are good enough to beat any of their possible play-off opponents and book a place in next year’s World Cup.

After last night’s scoreless draw at Croke Park, the Standard Liege man was upbeat about the prospects of Giovanni Trapattoni’s team overcoming one of France, Portugal, Russia or Greece in next month’s deciding showdown.

“I had never played against Ireland up until this campaign but they really impressed me in both of our goalless draws,” said the 28-year-old.
