Hamann: Trap is simply the best

HE HAS played for Franz Beckenbauer, Rafa Benitez, Kenny Dalglish, Gerard Houllier, Otto Rehhagel, Berti Vogts and Rudi Voller, but as far as Didi Hamann is concerned Giovanni Trapattoni is simply the best.

“When he arrived at Bayern Munich, it was a very young team,” Hamann told the current edition of FourFourTwo magazine. “All the players improved enormously under him. I learnt an awful lot in the three or four years I had under him.

“He knows so much about football, helps to get the best out of players and has a great track record of winning.”
