Non-league Dynamos land Bray cup test

TRALEE DYNAMOS have been handed the attractive prospect of travelling to face League of Ireland Premier Division outfit Bray Wanderers in the fourth round of the FAI Ford Senior Cup.

The Kerry District League side knocked out fellow A Championship members, Salthill Devon, in what was already the longest ever cup run by a Kingdom club.

But Dynamos chairman Ger Moloney was taking nothing for granted despite the fact that Bray are battling against relegation.

“Ideally we would have got a home draw,” admitted Moloney. “But we will go there with a bit of hope. In all honesty, we’re up against it but in cup football, you never know what could happen with a bit of luck.

“They’ll be looking to resurrect their season and a cup run will be attractive for them so it’s a big task for us. We’re looking forward to it and as long as we come away knowing we gave our all, that will be enough.”

Meanwhile, holders Bohemians have been drawn away to Dundalk in one of two all-Premier Division Fourth Round fixtures.

Sligo Rovers have been drawn at home to Derry City in the other clash of top flight clubs.

Shamrock Rovers have been handed a home fixture against UCD, while non-league Crumlin United will host Waterford United.
