KEVIN DOYLE’S transfer to Wolves brings an unexpected bonus to Wexford Youths where he spent a chunk of his teenage years. Wolves have agreed to bring a team to Ferrycarrig Park and Doyle can’t wait to return.

Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey said: “It is to be confirmed and it will be during the season when there is a natural break. The logic will be to play on Saturday, leave on Sunday, play (in Wexford) on Monday and come home on Tuesday.

“We will use it as a club break for our players and it will be a natural tie in. Kevin’s got great affinity with where he lived and Mick Wallace, the founder of Wexford Youths.
