Rangelov ruled out in blow for Bulgaria

GERMAN-based striker Dimitar Rangelov will miss Bulgaria’s Group Eight qualifier with Ireland on Saturday.

Energie Cottbus front man Rangelov has failed to recover from an ankle injury, and will be replaced by Litex Lovech defender Mihail Venkov.

The 26-year-old Rangelov is the second player to pull out of coach Stanimir Stoilov’s provisional squad after Amkar Perm defender Zahari Sirakov dropped out with a stomach problem.
