Skipper Owen ready for Magpies return

NEWCASTLE captain Michael Owen will be handed the chance to fire the club clear of relegation trouble when he returns from injury at Hull.

The 29-year-old has targeted tomorrow’s trip to the KC Stadium since picking up the ankle ligament problem which sidelined him at the end of January.

He returned to training 10 days ago and caretaker boss Chris Hughton has confirmed he will be involved in a game which could have a major say in the club’s Premier League survival.
