SUNDERLAND chairman Niall Quinn is confident the club remains on track to achieve its dreams despite Roy Keane’s departure.

Quinn set out a five-year masterplan when he and his Drumaville consortium launched their takeover in 2006, and that gathered pace when the former Manchester United skipper was persuaded to launch his managerial career at the Stadium of Light.

The Irishman’s exit in December handed Ricky Sbragia the chance to step up as the chairman made a surprise appointment, but he is adamant that progress continues to be made.
