Lilywhites sign O’Callaghan

GEORGE O’CALLAGHAN is back in the League of Ireland, having signed for newly promoted Dundalk.

The former Cork City favourite and one-time League of Ireland player of the year recently ended a largely unproductive spell at League One Tranmere Rovers.

In other League of Ireland news, Galway United have secured the signature of Irish Under 21 international centre-half Garry Breen from Hereford United. Breen (19), who has recently being capped for the Republic of Ireland U21s, was a member of the Manchester City Youth team which reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2006. And defender Seán Kelly has also joined the Tribesmen on loan from Cork City for the 2009 season.
