Grant admits interest in Portsmouth post

FORMER Chelsea manager Avram Grant is desperate to return to English football and has hinted that he would be willing to take over the vacant manager’s position at Portsmouth.

Grant was sacked as Chelsea boss at the end of last year despite guiding the Blues to the Champions League final, the Carling Cup final and a second-place finish in the Premier League.

Grant had been director of football at Portsmouth before he took over at Chelsea and has been linked with a return to Fratton Park following the sacking of Tony Adams last week.
