Adebayor refuses to give up title hopes

EMMANUEL Adebayor maintains Arsenal “still have the chance to do something” in the title race despite slipping out of the top four.

The Togo striker must now sit out the Gunners’ next match — away to third-placed Aston Villa on St Stephen’s – after he was sent off for a second caution during yesterday’s 1-1 draw with championship rivals Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.

The 24-year-old and boss Arsene Wenger were heavily critical of referee Howard Webb for the dismissal but the pair will not receive action from the Football Association for their comments.
