McGeady rift played down

AIDEN MCGEADY’S agent has played down suggestions of a rift between the Celtic player and manager Gordon Strachan.

Reports yesterday claimed the pair had a heated exchange after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hearts at Celtic Park.

McGeady reportedly felt that criticism from his boss was unfair and angry words were reportedly exchanged, leading to speculation that the winger could even be set for a January departure if the Scottish Premier League champions received the right offer.
