Hunt gets brace for Reading

READING’S Ireland striker Noel Hunt took his tally into double figures with a goal in each half as Reading returned to winning ways against Coventry in the Coca-Cola Championship last night.

Daniel Fox arced in a superb goal to give Chris Coleman’s side a deserved lead but then deflected in a Hunt header to equalise.

Kalifa Cisse then gave the hosts the lead before the break when he clinically drove home before Hunt bundled in a second to kill off the game.

After a Fox free-kick had given Coventry the lead, Reading equalised when Hunt’s tame header hit Fox to loop over the stranded Keiren Westwood and bounce in.

Cisse gave the Royals the lead before Hunt — played in by the brother Stephen — grabbed his second in the 61st minute to wrap up the points for the home side.
