Vieira courted by Pompey

PATRICK VIEIRA could be set for a return to English football with Portsmouth.

Tony Adams, the new Pompey manager, plans to talk to Internazionale head coach Jose Mourinho about the possibility of signing Vieira, who has struggled with injuries in recent times and is entering the twilight of his career.

“He is definitely a player I’d like to bring here if he was available,” Adams said. “I will be speaking to Jose Mourinho and asking about him.
