DIEGO MARADONA has been offered the job of Argentina coach after meeting with AFA president Julio Grondona last night.

Grondona met with both Maradona and Carlos Bilardo, who looks set to become a director of football in the new set-up.

Maradona’s 1986 World Cup winning coach Bilardo, who came out of the meeting with Argentinian Football Association president Julio Grondona, said: “Diego will be the next coach of the national team.”
