Ward revels in his return to Dalymount

ALMOST two years after one of the most exciting prospects in the domestic game joined the Mick McCarthy-managed Wolves, Stephen Ward was back on familiar territory at Dalymount Park.

“The place hasn’t changed much since I left,” said Ward who started out as a schoolboy at Portmarnock

“Last time I played I think we won one-nil against UCD but I think I came off injured, but it’s good to be back here again. I’ve seen a few old faces, people from the club and family.”
