Hughes talks up Wright-Phillips

MANCHESTER CITY manager Mark Hughes believes Shaun Wright-Phillips is showing the kind of form that could see the winger win an England recall.

Wright-Phillips, 26, has bedded in quickly on his return to Eastlands following his £9 million (€11.3m) move from Chelsea in August.

Hughes said: “Shaun has been excellent since he came back. He is far and away a better player than when he left the club.
