Bohs turn focus to domestic matters

HAVING exited the Intertoto Cup on Saturday, Bohemians return to eircom League action tonight when they travel to the Carlisle Grounds to take on Bray Wanderers (kick off 7.45pm).

Bohs turn focus to domestic matters

As the first of their three games in hand on leaders St Pats and third-placed Cork City, Bohs know that they must make the most of the opportunity to put their European disappointment behind them and restore their focus on the hunt for domestic honours. “I don’t believe we will have any difficulty regaining our focus,” says manager Pat Fenlon. “The players have been excellent in this regard and I actually think they will be delighted to resume league action.”

Bohs will be without Killian Brennan and John Paul Kelly – both suspended – while Glenn Cronin is out injured and Jason Byrne is doubtful with a thigh strain.

Meanwhile, Bray Wanderers have been boosted by the signing of Derek Foran and Philip ‘Pip’ Keogh. Centre-half Foran has been on loan from St Pats since the start of the season while, after a break away from football, the versatile Keogh returns to the club with which he is synonymous.

The semi-final draw for the eircom League Cup was made last night and Alan Mathews’ Cork City side will face First Division side Wexford Youths. Jeff Kenna’s Galway United are up against Stephen Kenny’s Derry City in the other semi-final. The dates for the matches will be finalised at a later date.
