Odejayi fires Tykes out of drop zone

BARNSLEY forward Kayode Odejayi made amends for his FA Cup semi-final misery with a double strike in his side’s crucial 3-0 win against promotion-chasing Watford on Wednesday.

Odejayi missed a sitter in Barnsley’s 1-0 loss to Cardiff at Wembley, but the Nigerian scored twice at Vicarage Road to lift Simon Davey’s team out of the Championship relegation zone.

Stephen Foster scored in between Odejayi’s goals in a shock victory that also confirmed Colchester’s relegation to League One.
