Time for Arsene to show his greatness

IF EVER there was a time for Arsene Wenger to prove that he is a great football manager then it is when Arsenal run out against AC Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League tonight.

There is no doubt Arsenal on their day play the most pleasing football the Premier League has witnessed. No doubt that Wenger is the most accomplished manager when it comes to buying and selling players shrewdly and identifying new talent.

But true greatness is not measured by what happens in the good days. It is gauged much more accurately by how managers and teams deal with the tough times. And the last few weeks have not seen Wenger at his finest.
