ARSENAL boss Arsène Wenger will not prevent Liam Brady returning to his homeland as part of Giovanni Trapattoni’s Republic of Ireland set-up — provided it doesn’t hamper his work with the Gunners.

The Frenchman revealed that he has not spoken to Brady about the position because the Academy Director is away.

Brady assumed his current role in 1996 and Wenger often speaks highly of the job the Dubliner has done.
