Senegal draw with Tunisia

SENEGAL and Tunisia had to settle for a share of the spoils after an entertaining 2-2 draw in the opening Group D match of the African Nations Cup in Tamale.

Issam Jomaa opened the scoring for the Tunisians, before Moustapha Sall capitalised on an error to level the scores at the break. Fulham’s Diomansy Kamara then handed the Lions of Teranga the lead before a stunning strike from Mejdi Traoui, seven minutes from time, earned Tunisia a draw.

Meanwhile, Manchester United- bound Manucho had a dream Africa Cup of Nations debut, but his Angola side was denied victory by South Africa thanks to a superb late strike from Elrio van Heerden.

Manucho netted with a magnificent diving header in the first half.

Last night’s results — Coca-Cola League One: Bristol R v Doncaster postponed; Millwall 2 Nottingham Forest 2. Scottish FA Cup: Cove Rangers 2 Ross County 4; Gretna v Greenock Morton postponed; Rangers 6 East Stirling 0.
