Baggies grab top spot as Hornets held by Cardiff

Following a goalless first half, Roman Bednar broke the deadlock on 48 minutes before Robert Koren added a second 20 minutes later.

A brace from Kevin Phillips put the result beyond doubt although substitute Darren Byfield at least grabbed a late consolation for the visitors three minutes from the end.
