Caldwell: Old Firm clash always fantastic

CELTIC defender Gary Caldwell has insisted the Old Firm derby will never be reduced to the role of a sideshow.

The first Glasgow derby of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League season has been overshadowed by coverage of Scotland’s quest to book their place at Euro 2008.

And Celtic boss Gordon Strachan claims the fans at Ibrox today will be short-changed as players will not have enough time to recover from international duty or prepare.
