Collins dismisses loan speculation

JAMES COLLINS has vowed to fight for his place at West Ham and ruled out any thoughts of going on loan from the Upton Park club.

The Wales international has been with his national team this week for the Euro 2008 qualifiers with Germany and Slovakia, and won his 20th cap last Saturday in the 2-0 defeat by the Germans in Cardiff.

That was the first full senior match 24-year-old Collins had played this season, having produced outstanding performances towards the end of the last campaign which contributed to the Hammers’ Premier League survival.
