ARJEN ROBBEN spoke of his relief after finally completing his move to Real Madrid yesterday, ending one of the summer’s longest-running transfer sagas.

The former Chelsea winger put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with Real on the same day Gabriel Heinze finalised his switch from Manchester United, the Argentina defender signing a four-year deal with the Spanish champions.

Real have been linked with a move for Robben for over a year, with club president Ramon Calderon pledging to sign the player during his successful election campaign last summer.
