WEST HAM manager Alan Curbishley has revealed how goal hero Bobby Zamora is playing through the pain barrier in a bid to help the Hammers avoid relegation from the Premiership.

Zamora gave West Ham a precious lifeline in their battle to avoid the drop when he scored the decisive goal in their 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

But boss Curbishley revealed: “He’s been training a bit more this week but the crazy thing is the anti-inflammatory tablets he’s taking are causing cramp problems, so we are changing his drugs and trying to eradicate it.
