Hiddink dismisses Chelsea speculation
Russia coach Hiddink said: “It’s not an issue, I work with a lot of satisfaction where I am now.
Hiddink feels the fuel behind the rumours is the fact he is the coach of Abramovich’s homeland.
He added: “I am linked with the job because Roman Abramovich is the owner of Chelsea and he is Russian and I am the Russia coach. Let’s be frank and open, every now and then I do talk to him — but not about the Chelsea job.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea have collected a double award as they close in on an unprecedented four-trophy haul.
With the Carling Cup winners still in contention for the Barclays Premiership title, the FA Cup and the Champions League, boss Jose Mourinho and goalkeeper Petr Cech have been named Barclays manager and player of the month, respectively.
