Hamstring injury sidelines Alex

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed Alex will be out for at least six weeks after the defender underwent an MRI scan.

The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s 0-0 draw in Excelsior and was immediately labelled doubtful to play again this season.

“When he wanted to kick the ball he felt something snap in his leg,” explained coach Ronald Koeman.
