I haven’t let Scotland down, insists Smith

WALTER SMITH has denied letting his country down by quitting as Scotland manager to take over at Rangers.

The Scottish Football Association have vowed to raise legal proceedings against Smith and the club after he was unveiled as Rangers boss immediately after tendering his resignation.

Both parties were miles apart over a compensation figure and the SFA have pledged to sue over breach of contract.
