Magnus is fighting fit

NEW Chelsea goalkeeper Magnus Hedman has emerged from the footballing wilderness thanks to his love of martial arts.

Hedman retired last year but has now signed a contract with the Premiership champions until the end of the season as cover for Carlo Cudicini and Hilario, while Petr Cech recovers from his serious skull injury.

The Swede’s return to the game has been helped by tae kwon do and admits he would have found it difficult to come back if it had not been for his high level of fitness thanks to his interest in the discipline.
