Real hopeful Beckham stays

REAL MADRID president Ramon Calderon is hopeful David Beckham will remain at the Bernabeu — despite admitting three new players are likely to arrive in January.

Teenage defender Marcelo was unveiled as a Real player yesterday.

Calderon also revealed Madrid had reached agreements to buy Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Gago.
