Cherries pick fired Magpies coach Bond

KEVIN BOND will ask for a little help from his friends as he embarks on his managerial career while attempting to rid himself of the stigma surrounding his involvement in the Panorama controversy.

The 49-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season at League One side Bournemouth, just 16 days after he was fired from his role as assistant manager at Newcastle in the wake of the BBC’s probe into corruption in the game.

Bond, who was Harry Redknapp’s assistant at Portsmouth, has denied any wrongdoing and announced he will take legal action.
