WOLVES manager Mick McCarthy believes match-winner Jay Bothroyd is “Premiership class” after watching the striker’s late wonder goal sink Leeds at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old snatched maximum points for McCarthy’s new-look Wolves with a 25-yard thunderbolt in the final minute to lift the Black Country outfit up to third in the Coca-Cola Championship table.

“We were just saying among our staff that we thought it was going to be a good point away from home at Leeds,” said McCarthy.
