Cup favourites Derry to host UCD
St Patrick’s Athletic will welcome Longford Town, winners in 2003 and 2004, in the other all-Premier Division affair.
Sligo Rovers may be happiest with the draw after they were paired with the only non-league side left in the competition, Killester United of Dublin. They had a bye in the last round after Dublin City went out of business.
Pat Scully’s Shamrock Rovers, conquerors of Bohemians already and riding high at the top of the eircom First Division, must prepare for an away trip to Athlone Town.
All of the ties are due to be played on the week ending October 1st.
The draw was made at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Club.
