Strachan: Transfer talk just speculation

CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan played down transfer speculation suggesting movement in and out of the Parkhead club.

One report suggested that the Bank of Scotland Premier League champions are in talks with PSV Eindhoven’s Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink with a view to signing the striker.

And fresh speculation emerged over the weekend that Hoops midfielder Stilian Petrov, who missed yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, will be joining Portsmouth.
