Richardson agrees with Shels’ points battle

CORK CITY boss Damien Richardson has given his backing to Shelbourne’s appeal against the decision to wipe Dublin City’s results from the eircom League Premier Division table.

Shels’ CEO Ollie Byrne has had his appeal against the decision upheld but there is still confusion as the League seek clarification from the Board of Appeal ahead of next Wednesday’s Board of Control and Management Committee meetings.

Both Cork and Shelbourne were obliged to shed six points after Dublin City left the league and, at least presently, the status quo remains. But Richardson is adamant that Dublin City’s results should go back into the mix.
