ARSENAL vice-chairman David Dein was unable to escape the continued speculation over the future of Ashley Cole as the Gunners were handed what could turn out to be a tricky Champions League qualifying tie, most likely against Dinamo Zagreb.

The Croatian side lead Lithuanian outfit Ekranas 4-1 on aggregate, and will be the probable opponents for Arsene Wenger’s men when they look to secure safe passage into the lucrative group stages of Europe’s elite club competition.

The hot topic of questioning, however, at yesterday’s UEFA draw in Switzerland was whether or not England full-back Cole, 25, would be playing at the Emirates Stadium when the new season gets under way.
