Smith names 18-strong squad for North clash

REPUBLIC of Ireland manager, Gerry Smith has named a squad of 18 players for the friendly amateur international against Northern Ireland in Armagh on Wednesday, August 9 (Kick-off 7.30).

This match is the first in a series of fixtures prior to the UEFA Regions’ Cup Group games which will be played in France in October.

Smith will also select squads for the return game against the Basques of Spain on the September 9 as well as the home fixture against England’s representatives for the UEFA Regions’ Cup, which is scheduled to be played in Tipperary in September.
