Derry tickets sold out
Such was the demand for tickets that Derry could have sold at least 8,000 tickets for the game. Season ticket holders and the 300 fans who travelled to Sweden last week were given priority in the allocation.
“It is very disappointing for us as there are so many people who wanted to be there to watch this particular game especially after that great 1-0 win in the first leg in Gothenburg last Thursday,” said Derry Chief Executive, Jim Roddy.
“The reason why so few people can attend the game is because of our lack of seated accommodation.
UEFA now have very strict regulations regarding the staging of European fixtures. Switching this game to another venue was never an option for us. Brandywell is our home and that is where the match will be played,” added Roddy.
