Winger Robert signs for Levante

LEVANTE have signed former Newcastle winger Laurent Robert from Benfica.

The 31-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the newly promoted Primera Liga side.

Robert, who has won nine caps for France, played 13 games and scored two goals for Benfica last season after moving from Newcastle.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough have signed 18-year-old Lyon midfielder Herold Goulon on a three-year contract.
